Do you really know what you're putting your name on?

When you purchase merchandise items, you should be able to trust that they’re safe – which is a requirement under the product safety legislation. But far too many products on the market fail to meet these legal standards.

A new Nordic inspection project has revealed that 71% of products sold online do not comply with chemical regulations. In Denmark alone it is as high as 88%.

This is especially the case for items like electronics and plastic products, which often contain excessive levels of hazardous substances such as lead, cadmium, and phthalates.

The biggest issue? Many people simply don’t know the rules – and end up ordering products from suppliers in Asia, without checking the legal requirements.
