Responsibility, documented in practice
With the EcoVadis Platinum medal, Metz A/S ranks among the top 1% of all companies assessed globally according to the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) criteria of the international EcoVadis standard. The Platinum rating was achieved at Metz’ first participation in the EcoVadis assessment.
EcoVadis evaluates how companies manage responsibility in practice – across environmental management, labor and human rights, ethics, and responsible procurement – based on documented policies, actions, and results.
At Metz, these areas are embedded in our daily operations and supported by clear frameworks, recognised standards, and continuous improvement processes.
The EcoVadis assessment brings these efforts together in a structured and transparent way.
UN GLOBAL Compact
Since 2013, we have been members of the UN Global Compact. In collaboration with our suppliers, we strive to build a more responsible and transparent supply chain, ensuring responsibility throughout the processes behind the products we deliver.
We don’t have an impact on all 17 goals and their underlying targets. But we focus our effort on the goals where we can make an impact through our business area.
The sustainable development goals:
Science based targets (SBTI)
In 2022, our 1.5°C-aligned target for Scope 1 and 2 emissions was officially approved. By 2030, we are committed to reducing our internal consumption by 42%.
Scope 3 GHG CO2 emissions calculations for delivered products. Metz is dedicated to measuring CO2 emissions from delivered products. To achieve this, we gather data from our supply chain to calculate the emissions and have partnered with a trusted third-party system for the GHG calculation.
Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) Rating
In 2025, we received our first CDP rating, achieving a score of B. This represents an important milestone in our ongoing commitment to climate action and transparency. The rating reflects our structured approach to reducing our CO₂ footprint and strengthening responsible business practices across our operations. We view this recognition as a strong endorsement of our efforts and a solid foundation for further progress in our journey.
Product compliance
We ensure that all products meet EU regulations and directives while verifying material claims through recognized certifications.
Our CSR team, in collaboration with trusted third-party partners, rigorously reviews documentation and test reports to uphold compliance standards.
ISO 9001 & ISO 14001 CERTIFIED
To ensure responsible business practices and minimize risks, we are certified under the internationally recognized ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards for quality and environmental management.
