OUR WAY

The way we do business

From the products we source to the suppliers we work with, we believe good business starts with knowing what is behind the choices we make.

That is why we work systematically with supplier due diligence, product compliance, climate data and recognised standards – helping our customers make informed decisions with documented information behind them.

What’s behind your merchandise?

Every product has a story before it reaches you. Where was it made? Under what conditions? Does it meet the relevant product requirements? What documentation supports the material claims? And what data is available? We work behind the scenes to find those answers.

Five reasons to choose our approach

1. Ensure ethical commitment. Rooted in strong principles.

We uphold fair labor conditions, ethical sourcing and environmental responsibility by verifying compliance through social factory audits.

2. Ensure efforts toward emission reductions. Enable data-driven decisions

We uphold a Science-Based Target for emissions reduction and track Scope 3 CO₂ data, supporting your SBTi goals and responsible procurement strategy.

3. Ensure proactive compliance and validated claims

Our products comply with EU regulations directives. We stay ahead of evolving laws, including the Green Claims Directive, to ensure continuous compliance.

4. Ensure leadership in quality and enviromental risk management

We work to deliver high quality, responsible manufactured products supporting informed decisions.

5. Ensure streamlined procurement - efficiency and time savings.

We help reduce your administrative workload, prevent overordering and optimize logistics saving you time, resources and ensuring cost-effective purchasing and distribution.

Behind our way

Standards, data and documented practices

Metz A/S was awarded an EcoVadis Platinum Medal in 2026, placing us among the top 1% of companies assessed by EcoVadis.

EcoVadis assesses companies across four areas: Environment, Labour & Human Rights, Ethics and Sustainable Procurement, based on documented policies, actions and results.

The assessment provides an independent evaluation of how these areas are managed across our business.

UN GLOBAL Compact

Since 2013, Metz has been a participant in the UN Global Compact. Its Ten Principles on human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption provide an important framework for our CSR work and supplier requirements.

We do not have an impact on all 17 Sustainable Development Goals and their underlying targets. Instead, we focus our efforts on the goals most relevant to our business and activities.

Science based targets (SBTI)

In 2022, the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) validated Metz's near-term Scope 1 and 2 emissions reduction target, aligned with a 1.5°C pathway.

Our progress and climate targets are reported in our annual ESG/Communication on Progress report.

CO₂e data for delivered products

We collect supply chain data and calculate product-related CO₂e emissions using a third-party GHG calculation platform.

The data supports our own Scope 3 calculations and can be provided to customers for use in their own emissions reporting.

Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP)

Metz received a CDP Climate Change score of B for its 2025 disclosure.

CDP provides an independent framework for environmental disclosure and assesses how companies report and manage climate-related issues.
