Challenge
Welltec wanted to improve their certified organic cotton tote bag, originally produced in Bangladesh, while maintaining a strong commitment to responsible sourcing and sustainability.
Solution
We recommended relocating production to our trusted partner in India, who complies with international social and environmental standards. The factory operates on solar power and follows Solidarity Sourcing principles, which aim to create positive social impact through responsible and inclusive supply chain practices. One of the production sites is staffed entirely by women.
The factory also supports the local community through initiatives like clean water access, school renovations, and ambulance services, while promoting employee wellbeing with activities such as yoga.
Result
By shifting production, Welltec retained material certification and significantly strengthened the tote bag’s responsible profile through transparent, traceable, and socially conscious choices.
